The one TV show I follow regularly is Heroes (thank goodness for free, online episodes). I've always liked super powers ("abilities" in Heroes), and I've often wondered which power I'd choose for myself if I could only choose one (when I was younger, I never wanted to limit myself to just one power, but now I understand that such a limitation makes things much more interesting).
I thought I had already posted a Would You Rather about super powers (on your mark, get set, GO find it!), but a quick search didn't pull it up, and I really shouldn't hesitate to post multiple entries about such an interesting subject anyway, right?
So . . .
Would you rather be able to instantly heal other living creatures (besides yourself, and let's say you can even make the old young again)
OR
be super speedy (like Heroes' Daphne, who can apparently also think very quickly in order to navigate while running and moving so quickly). We're talking run-across-the-country-in-60-seconds-and-not-be-winded fast. And, oddly, you can also grab someone and take them with you.
Remember, there are always pros and cons to super powers.

Mr. Sansweet: You didn't save my life! You ruined my death, that's what you did!

Super speedy.

Okay, I'll go with super speedy. Maybe by being super speedy and agile I can keep from being hurt and rescue people before they get hurt - kinda like Superman.
That's easy. Healing.
I vote speedster. Healing is the more easily lucrative, I expect, but you're liable to be kidnapped and farmed (say, a Starcraft-style medic for some warlord). You can't keep a speedster in slavery usefully except as a hamster on a generator wheel.

I without a doubt would want to have the ability to instantly heal other living creatures. Say I don't have it, and not only do I die myself but I am useless to others..... AHHHH, but with this great power, I can die knowing that I altered the universe every time I saved a life. Hopefully all that good-deeding will get my kids into a pretty good school on scholarship or something you know. It's gotta pay off in the end, right? I mean, sir, I just took your advanced pancreatic cancer away, would you mind admitting my daughter into your uber chic private school.
Speedy. I mean, I want my super power to be useful to me, not every body else.

And such a good one! I WOULD want healing...but I agree with bawb, that's the one where you'd end up being a slave to other people...and would have no privacy! Whereas the speediness could still be semi-secretive. Also, surely we already have access to the former? *nudge nudge*
wow...this was a tough one. i wish that i could pick both. so i am going too :) but one at a time!
i want the healing right now while my family is young and in need.
i will take the speedy when my kids are all out of the house so that i can speedily travel wherever the wind takes me and my hubby!

I would heal. I think it would cause some sticky situation, but still I think it would do more good than being super speedy.
I've never seen Heroes, but hear it's awesome. But, as far as super powers, I think I'd have to say healing, but it would be way cooler if no one knew you had the power. That's when the being speedy would come in handy. You could speedily heal someone, yet they'd never need to know who! But, you have only let us choose ONE power, right? Tough one.
By the way, the microfinance video is awesome. I've learned some about it, and after living overseas it's so easy to see how so little (to us) can make such a change for many. I would love to be a part of that some day.
Healing. Then I would get a job at the MTC and heal the 15+ sprained ankles they get each day, thus helping the missionaries remain super speedy. Everyone wins.

I choose speed..mostly because I just really like to travel and with those kind of speeds I could grab Aaron and we could be in Peru in 2 minutes.
